iPod Recording Accessories for iPod Video

I'm looking for a recording accessories for my 80GB iPod Video so to recording lecture. Any recommendation that I can buy in UK. I found one from Xtrememac but it's only comes with in-built mic. Is it good to pick-up sound from specific direction in a large lecture room (bit of loads with noise I think)?
