Recording on an iMac

I'm about to take the plunge and buy my first Mac! I plan to do some light recording on the iMac, nothing more that one or two tracks at a time I'd imagine, and I'm wondering whether the 2.4 processor over the 2.0 would make a big difference for me. Does anyone have any experience on this subject?

I would recommend the 2.4ghz processor, the 2ghz would work. But the 2.4ghz is much more worth it, trust me, pull the trigger on the 2.4ghz, plus you get a bigger HD, and also a better GPU, much better choice for the little price difference.
