Im trying to record a video -using the macOS internal screenshot/screen recorder utility. Μy goal is to show how to use an app on my iMac. Im using High Sierra and if im not mistaking the OS integrated utility, can only work in OS's later than Mojave but im using High Sierra :-( What can i do?

  1. Open QuickTime.
  2. In the menu bar, click File > New Screen Recording.

If i make mistakes during shoot can i pause to recorded video and resume later?

you can cut, edit, subtitle, audio dubb, apply effects in e.g. iMovie afterwards.
