iPod Recording w/iPod (5th generation)?

I would like to record w/iPod (5th generation) and would like recommendations for a microphone. I need to record Yoga class (Instructor's speech). I would think a lav mic that she can clip on will be better, but earphones w/good recording microphone will be OK, too. Thank you for your help!
