Outlook 2011 is placing recovered files in the trash (nothing inside them) at each boot. Even if Outlook never runs. Upon reboot it adds another if you don't empty the trash. Rebooting doesn't automatically delete them as it is supposed to. I've done every maintenance procedure know to man to no avail. So either the latest outlook/office update is bugged, or OSX 10.8.2 has become corrupt in the way it handles things. My guess is it's office. Any ideas how to stop this? If I lock the temporary items folder it stops, but then Outlook won't run.
