I need help recovering a couple apps I've paid for but forgot to transfer them to my computer before I updated to 2.2 and I don't want to pay for them again or wait for the updates, any ideas?

Apple knows you own them. Just download them again. It's free. But I'm not sure why you'd be losing any apps when you update to 2.2. All my apps were completely intact after the upgrade.

No I forgot to transfer them to my computer before I updated (it was just stupid on my part).

You shouldn't have had to do anything during the upgrade. I didn't do a backup, or transfer anything. I plugged in the phone, told it to upgrade to 2.2, and all was good in the end.

On a somewhat related note: I'll be making the switch from PC to mac this week, I'm gonna pick up one of the new macbooks. I was able to download the "Tris" app from the store before it was pulled. Will I be able to copy it over to my mac somehow? Like if I just copied the application file from my PC to my mac would that work? Or will I end up losing it and not being able to use it without syncing to my PC? I guess I'll find out once I get my macbook, but I was just curious if anybody knew.

Weird. Unless your restored, updating should not erase any data on your phone, let alone ALL your apps.
Looking up some nude celebrities, are we? :p

I think you should be able to drag and drop the app files from your itunes folder. I haven't tried this, but it'd be my plan of attack.
