Anyone have an issue when trying to set up a Recovery Contact? I have an older iPad that is running IOS 12... and when I try to set up a Recovery Contact on my phone which is running IOS 15... I am told to update my old iPad to the latest version of IOS. Problem is that the iPad is updated to the latest version it will accept. Anyone know a way around this without deleting the older iPad?
Thanks,
Mark

It's one of the requirements mentioned in this set up article. I'm not sure you'll find a workaround.

Honestly insane that they’re requiring ever device linked to the apple ID to be on the latest version to set this up. Should definitely be on a per-device basis or just work for the devices that are up to date

Thanks for passing along. Not sure why Apple has this limitation but I'm not retiring a perfectly good iPad.
