OP:
If -- as Ebenezum described above -- you've "securely deleted" the home folder, you ain't gettin' that data back. It's gone.
If you deleted it "un-securely" the data might still be there, but since you're still using the drive in question, the odds are that some of it has since been over-written and is also "gone for good". The likelihood of recovery is low.
You've learned a hard lesson here.
Go forth, young man, sadder... but wiser.
You need to learn something about the concept of "backing up".
Best way to do it:
1. Get an external hard drive (USB is fine)
2. Get backup software (I will always ALWAYS recommend either CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper)
3. Use it (very easy) on a regular basis, twice a week, even once a week will do.
