Hi!

I have iMac 27-inch, Late 2009, OS X 10.8.4 and I like to make recovery disk.
I have external HD 1 TB (Buffalo) which I didn't use yet. I like to use it fo backup of my system with Time Machine, use for recovery disk and I have some space for data.
I am still new in Mac world...
Is it possible to make three partitions on the external HD? One for Time Machine, one for recovery disk and the third one for data? Or is better to make recovery disk on 1GB usb stick a boot from there but back up and data on HD?

Thanks in advance.

It's not very polite to find the resolution and then not post the details. Perhaps in the future someone else might find themselves in the same situation.

I am sorry...
It was nothing special:
I made three partitions: one for Time Machine, one for myself and the other for Windows. I downloaded from Apple Recovery Disk Assistant which create a recovery disk on USB stick in my case.

BTW: I red that is not possible to boot from external HD.
