As I understand it your phone qualifies for recovery key generation starting June 14th. Try again in four days.

where do I try? where will I get this key? the instructions on Apple are vey vague. It doesn't say anything about waiting .
maybe I don't understand how this key works? I just thought a key would be generated automatically

It's also my understanding that a key will be generated automatically, but the iPhone you have does not yet qualify for that process. There's a security "cooldown" in effect before it qualifies.

As it says in the screenshot, try doing exactly what you tried today on the 14th of June, and it should work.

thank you. I contacted Apple because I was very confused. They said I can generate the key from my iPhone now but not yet from my Mac, I would have to wait until the 14th.
None of this is explained on their guide, that's why I thought it was just a case of changing the setting and getting the key right away.
Why the wait is still unclear since my iPhone and Mac are not new and both should be a 'trusted' device

It does come across as confusing, looking at it as someone who hasn't done it before.
