Dear all,

When i startup in Recovery Mode (CMD+R), this Mode has completely changed:
No more Terminal and Disk Utility in the menu bar for example.

I wanted to check SIP status, that's why i booted into Recovery Mode, wanting to use Terminal to check SIP.

Am i missing something ?

(Running Monterey 12.2beta 2, Intel Mac Mini 2018)
Kind Regards.

Do you get the "normal" recovery window, showing 4 items:
Restore from Time Machine, Reinstall macOS Monterey, Safari, and Disk Utility?
If yes, then the top menubar should also show , Recovery, File, Edit, Utilities, and Window menus.
The Utilities menu will show Startup Security Utility, and... Terminal.

What do YOU see, instead of that?

Thx for helping.

No, i don't see those 4 items, also not all those menubar items.
I can't recall exactly anymore what i saw exactly but i think there were only 2 functions available:
- Wipe Mac
- Recover (factory reset ?) Mac.
For this last function i had to login with my Apple ID emailadres and Apple ID password

Kind regards.

You don't need to boot to recovery, if you just need to find out if SIP is enabled.
Open your terminal, type csrutil status, then press enter. That will tell you that SIP is enabled (or disabled)
Even easier -- You can also go to your System Information app (in your Applications/Utilities folder), then go to the Software tab. That will show you the present status of System Integrity Protection (SIP)

You only need to boot to recovery if you want to change that SIP status.

Are you using the Mac that you showed in your first post (Intel Mac Mini 2018)
Or, are you running a "new" M1 Mac mini?

Do you have some kind of user profile installed (maybe you use your Mac for a job that requires that?) If so, that may limit booting to the recovery system.
I would also wonder if you have installed a utility of some kind that might have changed the configuration of the Utilities window in your Recovery system.
But, you should try booting to internet recovery (Option-Command-R) to see if that shows you the menu screen that you expect, as I don't think you can modify Internet recovery on your local system, as it comes directly from Apple's servers.
