Hello everyone,

does anybody know of a way to recreate the recovery partition on a M1 MacBook Pro, APFS formatted?

Thanks in advance

Yeah re-run the last combo update or full installer and it should re-create it. Ive found scripts out there that can do it as well, but Ive never had luck with those partitions working right so its best to let the OS do it itself.

I'm quite interested in this story. I booted with a USB stick, initialized SSD, and installed Big Sur. The resulting recovery partition was not created. Is this the right reason why the recovery partition is not created?
I've talked to a few people who say that installing an OS with a USB flash drive will create it, and others who say that it still won't create it. Which one is it?

If there is a way to recreate the recovery partition, I would like to know about it.

The following topics may be helpful.

I tried to boot recovery mode after my last post. I tried booting from the recovery partition for the first time since I updated to 11.6 and I was able to boot from there. I'm not sure if this was fixed or added when updating from 11.5.2 to 11.6.
