Stupid question but today I was working and all of a sudden a transparent rectangle appeared on the screen. It followed the curser. Right clicking didn't seem to do anything. Didn't seem to be software specific. I have two screens and it followed the curser from screen to screen. Didn't interfere with function. I restarted the computer which got rid of it. I'm sure I hit some key combination by accident, but I have no idea what I did or what the rectangle was intended to do. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

If it re-occurs you may want to grab a snapshot for uploading....hope it doesn't come to that though. Strange things like that which have happened to me in the past made me suspect what WildSky says: Accessibility Shortcuts.

Thanks, that solved it. I was typing text, and trying to type fast and somehow toggled zoom on. Didn't know the commands to zoom in or to toggle zoom off. I thought I'd hit something that triggered it but didn't know how to remove it.

Years ago happened to me at ATL...needed to view my flight situation...couldn't figure it out! Went to a phone store and no-one there could figure it out!!! With minutes to go got lucky and realized I had somehow initiated 'Zoom' on the phone....Was so pissed that I made a 'note' in the felt part of my phone case on how to get out of it if it were to happen again !!!!
