I bought "C&C the first decade" for a trip on memory lane. I installed red alert under win2k under vmware. Everything works great except the screen resolution. Whatever I do, I get stuck with a small view box (perhaps a quarter of my screen) in which red alert is playing. Although I rather have full screen I could live with that. But the mouse is not limited to this small area (it moves into the black letterbox in full screen mode) and thus I can not scroll the battlefield, making the game unplayable.

Any suggestions?

Try reading:

My mouse stays inside the VM in windowed mode and it's totally playable.
