Red gone on monitor

Just got a Mini today, and hooke it up to my old big monitor, and it down't convey red. Have tried every adjustment I can find...both on monitor itself and within operting system.

Any ideas.? Can't find a Mac drive for IBM g96. Monitor worked fine with PC.

Well, if you can test the screen and cable on another computer, it's worth doing to rule that out. It could, in theory, be the cable - make sure than none of the pins are bent either end, and that the plugs are fully seated.

Thanks, called Apple, they told be to try other monitor. Did that and still no red. Then put ol monitor back..and worked. Must have been connector on back.
