A comment in a very good discussion thread on Reddit detailing how to build a cardboard stand with air filter for your Studio (A Homebrew Dust Filter for the Mac Studio) states: "Just got off the phone with Apple and learned that they do a courtesy cleaning for free even with out AppleCare+ since there have been many emerging cases of dusty MacStudios."

I have no knowledge if this is true or not, and if so, how many free "courtesy cleanings" might one get from Apple.

FWIW: I'm considering the "aquarium filter" alternate suggestion described in a different comment in the near future. It's inexpensive, easy to do and seems like it would work fine with minimal impact on airflow.

They routinely clean people's MacBooks since the advent of Genius Bar, so I am not surprised that they would do the same for Studios as well, seeing how user accessible it is (not).

But hearing "many emerging cases of dusty MacStudios" isn't exactly comforting lol. I kept mine inside a small network cabinet which is relatively dust free so I am good, but can imagine desktop users, pet owners will see troubles.
