I'm curious if anyone knows what happens when you attempt to redeem a promo code from the iPhone and the application fails to download because it is big enough to require a Wi-Fi connection?

I know that when I went to iTunes to attempt to get it there, the code shows as already being used. I also tried to bring up the option to write a review, but I was told I needed to own the application before I could write a review. It seems I don't have credit for it, at least so far.

I'm betting I'm not the only one to have had this happen. I'd be interested to know whether the promo code is simply lost.

For me it just sat on my phone until i got home and it then finished installing with my home wifi.

I suppose since you already used the code you could just click on the app as if you were to buy it and it should say "already own, download for free"

Thanks. I've now located it in my purchased history and my installation of iTunes at work says I have something waiting to be downloaded. Seems all is well.

Oh, and I just found the icon on my iPhone with "Loading..." showing under it.
