Should I use RedSn0w (Version 0.9.10b8) to Jailbreak my 5.0.1 or should I stick to pod2g's Absinthe?
Both are the same exploit, I think redsn0w is more userfriendly. Also if something goes awry with either deleting jailbreak data or messing up the jailbreak installation redsn0w is supposedly able to fix it.
It can do that with an absinthe or corona stand-alone install as well
Absinthe will only exploit and install cydia once. Should you mess something up, you have to use SSH. If you delete corona, the same applies.
Redsn0w is a one stop fix for most of these problems.
Dwalls90, you lost me here... So, what's the difference between Absinthe exploit and Corona's exploit and they way they install Cydia? or is it the same?
Absinthe is the JB program. Both Absinthe and redsnow use the same exploit to JB A5 devices.
I'd go with redsnow, seems to be a little more solid but absinthe never failed me either so not much a difference anyway.
I have been trying to figure this out for a few days... I used Absinthe to JB my 4S (5.0.1). I saved my blobs. Is there something I can do with the redsnow program that will allow me to fix things if I mess my phone up so that I wouldn't be stuck having to do a restore and upgrade to 5.1?
