Hey guys.. I am trying to JB my brand new Iphone 3GS.. I do everything it says in instructions(turn the phone off and have it plugged in, hold power button for 3 sec, power+home, then just home button) and it seems like i do everything right but after saying: "Uploading first stage" then "Uploading second stage" it says "Waiting for reboot" and nothing happens...It does not make the phone reboot and when i try to turn it on by holding power button nothing happens. Then when i hold power+home it turns on normally and is not jailbroken...

Does anyone know why i get stuck on "Waiting for reboot" and nothing ever happens? I successfully JBen Iphone 3G running 3.0 with Redsnow 0.7.2 but having trouble with new redsnow and 3GS...

Any help is appreciated

I had this problem too-I was trying to use old version of iTunes. Do you have 8.2 installed?

Sorry if this is obvious-just trying to share my experience.

When it says waiting to reboot unplug the cable and then plug it back in.

Make sure you have the right firmware. Update to 3.0.1 and then download 3.0 firmware.

I had the same issue, with the waiting on re-boot - turns out I was using the 3.0 firmware for the 3G, not the 3Gs. Once I found the correct firmware it went slick. No issues whatsoever. Update the 3Gs to the 3.0.1 then point redsn0w to the correct 3.0 version - slick
