Redsnow not recognizing IPSW

I'm trying to jailbreak my iPhone but redsnow will not recognize the firmware I've downloaded and I've downloaded it from several different sites? Any suggestions.

Using the IPSW downloaded from iTunes should work.

Google is your friend. Use finder. I have navigated to that folder many times, I promise it is there. *crosses heart* 😛

The only one that came up was the one I downloaded on my desktop???

I'm on windows but never mind I found it. and it still didn't work I read something about needing to use redsnow 0.8 but I can't find that version?

Rename it from zip to ipsw once you have it

If you updated to 3.0 on the computer you are trying to JB on, the IPSW is already saved on the computer.

Do a search for it -------> iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

Point Redsn0w to the Restore IPSW not any Custom Restore IPSW you may have downloaded.
