Reduce motion app exceptions - 10 years old bug - still not fixed

Every year I'm hoping for a fix for the following bug.

If you have "Reduce Motion" activated, you can allow specify Apps to anyhow show the Motions (like in the weather app).

But in the weather App, it only works when you leave the App (go to home screen) and open the WeatherApp again. The Animations/Motions are only shown if you open the WeatherApp two times. After a force quit of the wether app you must open the app twice times agein to show the weather animations.

So fingers crossed if Apple can fix this within the next ten years. 😀

it is a question of prioritisation. I suppose the number of people reduce motion is just a very small percentage over all users worldwide. The number of users individually allowing apps more motion than others is possibly even smaller.
They still buy iPhones, why put dev capacity into such things ?

Such a unique issue that most people will never encounter. File a report. Include a screen recording and detailed notes. Bugs don’t get fixed by crossing your fingers or reporting it on these forums.
