WOW!!! The v1.2 update seems to address almost every requested feature, Twitter support, multi-line titles, swipe to star/read/unread.

All wrapped in the most gorgeous user-interface - competition well and truly knocked for dead now :)

What's new in Reeder 1.2
New
- In-app Twitter support
- Pinboard support (http://pinboard.in)
- Mark as unread
- Slider control for article list items (slide to left to toggle un/starred and right to toggle un/read)
- Multiline titles in lists (for headlines)
- Order by oldest first (see Settings.app)
- Non-blocking sending/sharing (Reeder can be used while posting to Twitter etc.)
- One-tap sending to Instapaper/ReadItLater
- Visual feedback for (un)starring/(un)reading/(un)sharing an article
- Sync status bar: tap to minimize, tap the sync icon to maximize
Fixed
- Unread counts were not always correct
- Image squeezing
- Open iTunes links with iTunes / App Store
 
How is it better than the free version of Mobile RSS? It just hit version 2 with landscape mode and facebook support as well. and it has readitlater support
 
I can only suggest trying. I confess I've not given MobileRSS a run, but I've bought nearly all the other RSS readers, including Feeds, iNews, Byline, Newsstand etc...

I'd be very interested in someone doing a proper comparison review between the full MobileRSS and Reeder.

Reeder's interface is just so pleasing to use, it really does feel like I'm using an app made by the developer of Tweetie - personal opinion only.

I'd like to see a comparison as well. So far Byline does everything I need.

Can Reeder caches images and/or sites as it goes? That's a deal breaker for me as I have no network access (cell or wifi) when in the building at work.

[Edit] Found out that it currently doesn't support caching of images and/or sites. I've emailed the author questioning future support.
 
Why do people keep comparing Reeder to Tweetie? I honestly don't see the resemblance. It's not a bad reader but it looks completely different. Until yesterday it was even my reader of choice until I discovered MobileRSS! Now *that* is the Tweetie of RSS readers! Seriously it's like a clone of Tweetie 2, down to the swipe icon bar and pull to refresh. And I love the straight-forward and intuitive layout.

The only thing holding me back from purchasing the non-free version is that I'm not sure the caching is as good as Byline.
 
does this have two way sync with google reader?

If not, I'll stick to the google reader webapp.
 
Is there some sort of orientation lock? Meaning if I'm in bed and I turn the device on its side, will it rotate?
