Love this program and think it's by far one of the "showcase" apps for the 3GS.

2.0 was just released - now you can do sound recording and mixing, photo pan and zoom, trim/split clips and more..

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

Awesome! A great app just got better! Wish it could import iTunes songs, but know it's not possible.

Recording audio is great for narration, but not for soundtracks. It would be so nice to add your own music, or even music supplied by the app (as iStopMotion Pro does). Then you could lay it over the video.

this app seems GREAT, and I would totally buy it if it was possible to put soundtracks from mp3s.
Anyone knows if this is somehow in progress or if it will never happen due to copyright issues?

if you haven't gotten the update, GO GET IT!! if you don't have the app GO GET IT!! ReelDirector Pricey $7.99 but worth it IMO...
you can now import music from computer via the browser, but it's easy once you get the hang of it.... (can't do it straight from itunes on the phone, probably a SDK thing)

this app gets better and better... what a little powerhouse on a PHONE!! all be it not just any phone!!

EDIT: adding music really adds to the rendering time (a lot more than before), but hey it's editing on a phone....

test video shot yesterday and added some music with ReelDirector.... haven't quite got the hang of how to mute the video clip sound as you can tell the last couple of clips have A LOT of wind noise.... and had to monkey around with getting the music "unmuted".......

Road Trip Test Video using ReelDirector

tried uploading video to FB but "they caught me" and took it down automatically..... maybe if i leave some wind noise in each clip, it might "confuse" the upload analyzer?

This app is perfect with a jailbroken phone that you can background it on. It vibrates when done rendering so it's as convenient as heck.

If it's rendering video pics & music in the background, I'd be interested to know what CPU is left to do anything in the foreground.

My 3GS got a little warm when I did it once, but besides that everything else I was using ran fine.

I did check the CPU remaining but I can't remember exactly what it was. ReelDirector might have been using about 40-50mbs.
