Long story short, I let this girl I was seeing borrow my leopard disc, she never returned it.

So I was thinking of re-formating my macbook. I still have the original disc but it's the first os that came out with the white macbook. My question is, can I use my imac disc and get my macbook to it's original state? Is this disc only for certain mac machines...

No, but you could use the Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD for 29 USD to do it, though it will not include iLife.

The grey Restore DVDs are model specific, so they will not work with other models of even the same Mac line.

The disc will only work with the computer it shipped with.
