Refresh might not be until July 2011

I heard from a store clerk at future shop and he said the refresh will be in July 2011. I was considering holding off when I heard the refresh was going to be this month or next but that is quite a ways off still.

Will it happen sooner or could it potentially be July. Thoughts?

Its gonna happen in September. I overheard a conversation of Best Buy employees who were talking about what they heard from an Apple employee who received an email about an upcoming training for the new iMacs. Trust me.

Who in turn heard it from a reliable source of a 2nd cousins best buddy's girlfriend who cleans Steve Jobs house, but only on the 3rd Tuesday of a full moon.

Here's a straight answer -- a store clerk will say anything they can to get you to buy today.
 
so true lmao, they tried to screw you and u didnt even get it :D they knew u were listening and said its coming in july to make u buy NOW and it WORKED because obviously u are here asking if u should buy it now.

u fell for the oldest trick in the book man :p
 
I worked at futureshop before... They have zero inside info. They learn about the latest imacs the day apple announces it.. Or even a day or 2 later.
 
They just made bold assumption because last year the imac refresh came in July. So they think that 2011 imac will be released about the same month or so.

They don't know our pain here to wait for imac refresh lol

Let's make it simple.

Rumors are just that rumors. NO One but a few know when it will be out and they tell no one!! Could it be July sure can it be this month, you bet. The last big rumor is that they have shipped already via ship. If there is any truth to that then july would sound too far off. Also even apple who does things on there own time, Would not want to put them selves that far behind what other tech companys already have put out.

With all this I am leanning more twords it comming out in the next few weeks vs July. Time will tell.

I am not good at waitting for things but in this case we all know it will be out some time soon. and since I waitted this long, I mine as well wait till it comes out! For if I by it now I will kick my self when it does come out!
 
The last SOLID rumor we heard was from Brian Tong @ CNET who said an inside source told him that the new iMacs were en route to the U.S. and would be available in late-April/early-May. This timeframe is still very possible. Remember, Apple could add the new iMacs to the Apple Store and have them available for shipment immediately. So, they could be a week or two or three away and we still wouldn't have a clue until they show up online.
