I am looking at possibly a refurb. I want to know if there is a big difference between

Refurbished iMac 20-inch 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and

Refurbished iMac 20-inch 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

All we will be doing is internet, little bit of photography, possibly photoshop

is 2.0 GHz a little to caveman or will it do the job for 3-5 years?

Looking at the prices between the 2 refurb machines with only a $100 difference and the desire to keep the machine for many years it might suite you to get the 2.4ghz machine. If you have the money and want the piece of mind to keep the machine for 3-5 years then the .4ghz might be worth it. Both machines you are looking at seem to only have 1 gig of ram. The best bet would to upgrade that or max that out. This can be done fairly inexpensively from http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/Intel_Core_2_Duo_PC2-6400 for about $110.

Hopefully this was helpful.

If the difference is really $100 I'd get the 2.4GHz no questions asked. It will last so much longer!
