hi guys,
i was thinking of maybe picking up an ipod from the refurb store, and was wondering if anyone had any experience at doing this? did the ipod come scratched, or with other problems? You get a full warrenty right?

thanks in advance for any help

All refurbs come with full warranty from Apple (1 year), and they clean them up really well - you shouldn't have any major scratches.

I have bought 2 off the refurb store. The quality is 'like new' and the item performs faultlessly.

another couple of questions,

do you still get the 14 day returns policy with the refurb store?

and if i got one that was all scratched up, could i say that i wanted another, send it back, and they send me another (hopefully in better condition) ipod for no extra fee?

While simply reading the refurb terms and conditions would answer your question, I am going to surmise that there are no returns on refurbs.

but it says this on the uk refurb page...

"In case of returned refurb unit, customers will receive a refund"

my thoughts are just that ill recieve some scratched up ipod, because the site also says:

"your unit may present minor cosmetic imperfection, such as scratches, marks, discolouration, etc"

is this just a disclaimer, while in actuality most of them are prestine?

If it was scratched up could i send it back and exchange it?

call apple for their definitive answer?

ok so i just did this, and for anyone that might want to know in future, they will replace without question any product within the 14day period, and you can even order by phone and pay with a debit card! so all seems pretty good!
