Well it seems Apple has some more refurbs now...the only problem is they are overpriced!

For $649 you get this refurb:
1GB memory
120GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 128MB mem

But for $599 you can get
2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB memory
160GB hard drive1
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
Mac OS X Snow Leopard

So half the RAM and 40GB less HDD for $50 more...what a deal!

I am hoping they get some 2.0 Ghz mini's in, I missed them the first time.

Wow...that is a bit overpriced. I just found that my college bookstore is selling off the last of their minis for $449. It's the 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo, 1GB model, but it's still pretty tempting.:D

Going from memory, the mini pricing in the refurb store has always been stupid like that. I'd say to give them a call or use the online chat and ask them why the pricing discrepancy. :p

I think this is an attempt by Apple of an IQ test ... any rational person would see that a new system was better for the same price. It is still quite funny. Most of the time a refurb'd Mini lasts a few minutes to a few hours on the refurb page before they are closed out. I wonder how long this one will last.
