Refurb Macbook Pro 14 M4 Pro, Battery Cycles

I ordered and received the above last week but it came with 19 battery cycles. Also it does not always connect to my monitor when I plug it in via USB C.

My question is - is 19 a lot for a refurb unit? Never had that many.

Also, are they a bit hit or miss when plugging into a USB C monitor.

Those are good questions. I've never had a problem with a refurb as far as plugging into a monitor. The refurb I currently have had about 3 battery cycles when I got it. I'm pretty sure Apple's policy for refurbs is to always include a new battery.
