Refurb MBP quality issues

I am on the verge of buying my first Mac. I am not sure either a C2D MBP or C2D MB, it will depend on how much $ i can spare. I have heard the Refurbs are great. However, I have been reading about the many issues with the mbp, the screen, the case warping etc...to be honest they are really making me scared. Are they correcting these issues in the refurb process. All you refurb MBP owners how are your computers? Any "Grain" ?
