Refurb mini at Apple store

The need of getting a Mac mini just came up. I want to spend the minimum, and thus is thinking about getting a refurbished one.

I haven't been paying much attention on the mini's before. Does anyone know if the online Apple refurbish store usually has mini's (they don't have any at the moment). If they did, do you remember how much they were?

They post some once or twice a week, but they are usually gone within an hour or two.

When they are there, the 1.83 is listed for $499. The 2.0 is listed for $679.
 
I watched the store for 2 weeks, checking in every morning and evening, until I found a refurb mini. I hesitated for 15 minutes and it was gone. The next time I placed the order as soon as I saw it available. That was 3 months ago.

So, Yes, they do go fast. Know what you want so you can place the order as soon as you see them in the store.
 
When I was watching they usually got loaded at around 2-3am PT and gone in a couple of hours - when the east coast wakes up.

1:50am ET and there's one up there right now, so who knows really. I think they just put it up in the middle of the night to find out who the real fanatics are. ;)

Yay!! I found the refurbs posted yesterday (Tuesday) ~ 9am PST. Ordered the 1.83 GHz model, and it's on its way. I also ordered an eyeTV 250+. Can't wait to set them up as my media center. Thanks everyone for their posts.

...and that's what I want to do with a Mac Mini, but I'm waiting til they update it, assuming the don't end its life.
 
Yes, I have been looking for this to see when they put these up! Hopefully I can catch one soon. :)

I have that combo, er..my wife does now. Great for a media center. Make sure to get the Turbo.264 from Elgato if you are going to record movies/TV for iPod or AppleTv. Makes MP4 conversion painless on the mini.
