Wow! I guess supply and demand? Refurb prices for MBP 16" are only $50-70 off $2500-3000 MBP? Sheesh....

If the models are stock, probably why.Where are you seeing that low of a discount on the Apple Refurbished website? The base model 16" which retails for $2499 is on there for $2249, a savings of $250. When it's on there, the base model 14" is $1799, a savings of $200.
Even the BTO options are the customary 10% off retail, not just the base models. If the models are stock, probably why.
I've seen BTOs go for more than 10% off. But I guess the high demand of these devices is driving the price.Even the BTO options are the customary 10% off retail, not just the base models.
True, if memory serves I recall just a few years back that the refurbished price was at 15% off retail across the board. It was only recently where I was looking at the refurbished 14 and 16 models where I see the discount was apparently adjusted to 10%.I've seen BTOs go for more than 10% off. What config did you snag up?True, if memory serves I recall just a few years back that the refurbished price was at 15% off retail across the board. It was only recently where I was looking at the refurbished 14 and 16 models where I see the discount was apparently adjusted to 10%.
Thankfully the refurbished discount stacks with the veterans discount and I was able to snag a base 16” for $2006, a deal that can’t be beat.
Just the base model 16”, silver with 16/512. Perfect for my relatively basic needs. I got the 14” at Costco a few weeks back but as I used it I realized how much I would love a bigger screen. When they popped up recently on the refurbished site, it was too good of a deal to pass up. Costco has a pretty generous 90 return policy too so that makes it easy. What config did you snag up?
