Just browsing around this morning...$679 now gets you a refurbished 2GHz mini at the Apple Store. (rumors....GO!)

still too much for the bastard child of the lineup.. Ebay has them for 500+ used.... GO!!!

I'd agree...those things are so out of date, even at refurb prices they're a poor deal.

Hopefully this is a sign of an update soon, although it may not be any better than the last update and still leave it way behind the times.

A mini is a mini. It was out of date the day it was updated last august. Looks like the refurbs are sold out now!!!

I got a 1.66 a few weeks back for $450 and it came with a 120gb HD and 1GB of RAM but I only paid for 80GB and 512MB hehe.

Have to agree. I got the 1.66GHz refurb last August ($439) and it was a good deal back then. Now its too long in the tooth. Probably get updated with left over MacBook Santa Rosa parts when the MacBook goes Montevina in summer so not a huge upgrade, IMO.

Best Buy's web page sold out of their minis today & Fry's is now out of the 1.83's. Come on Apple...pull the trigger on the refresh! :D

The refurbs are back again if anyone is looking.

(Though I just bought a 1.83 and then that option disappeared on reload. All that is left is the 2.0 version)
