An Island in the Salish Sea
This could just be flash in the pan, but I noticed today that some models of MacPro on the Canadian refurb store have been heavily discounted.... up to 25% ... bringing refurbed units below $2k for the 1st time.

Near as I can figure the 1066mhz memory units are being discounted, and not the 1333mhz memory models. The discounted units hail from Aug 2010.

I've been watching the MacPro refurb pages daily, looking for a deal, so I am confident that this is recent development. Don't know how this relates to other country's refurb pages.

Just in time for Canada Day, eh?

Yeah, it looks like its the models that are no longer being sold as new are pretty heavily discounted now. The 8 core 2.4 model is now just ~$2,700. That's a pretty good deal too.
