I saw that too. I wish I had known they would offer refurbished 2.3ghz i7 models with an SSD. I would have went with that over the platter based 2.3 i7 I picked up a week ago.

I have been struggling for choosing 2012 or 2014 or a long time.
Recently I just occasionally check the apple's website to see anything new.
I even don't think I can get the 2012 one with an SSD.
Anyway, I input my credit card number and clicked it.
Hope I made the right choice.

Btw, can I add another HDD to expand the storage? 3.5 or 2.5?

The 2012 i7 quad is great. It's very fast compared to the dual core models. I recommend that you take advantage of upgrading your Mini to 16GB RAM also. You should be able to add an HDD in the second bay of the 2012 Mini but if you ordered it with an SSD already you may want to add an external HDD via USB3 or Thunderbolt.

Can I understand in this way that it is better to install an SSD inside the mini, but for the HDD, it is not that big difference?

I wish there was a sticky for refurb.me so that we wouldn't have a thread stayed everytime a refurbished unit appears.
