Somewhere in Time
Hello,

Now that new orders for 27 inch iMacs have been pushed back for 3 weeks, is it fair to say that in 3 weeks time there will be a glut of refurbished 27 inch iMacs put on sale on the Apple Refurb Store? The reason I asked is that I checked one out at the Apple store the other day and they look really great! They're like the limousines of the computers! :)

cheers,

mp

it wouldnt surprise me if apple was reusing the faulty imac's and using its parts in the new ones, since everyone knows that apple is low on these 27" screens and is having difficulty keeping up with the orders. There has been months of issues with the screens, but non of them have shown up on the refurb site yet. Just a thought.

Use www.refurb.me to notify you when they come in.

Hadn't heard of this site before--thanks! I habitually check the refurb store, even though I can't afford to buy anything. this is great. I wish the accessories section was expanded, though--there's definitely other items there with some regularity that aren't listed (different generations of time capsules, etc.).

I figured this was the first refurb 27s because refurb.me keeps a listing of any items previously listed on the refurb apple store, and until today there were no 27 imacs on refurb.me

I think they list items from only the past 2 weeks because there are some refurbs that come and go from their list.

gone now

it was $1707 with Applecare and NYC tax

For the i5 it's $2100 I think including AppleCare and tax

going to wait until June or October before making a decision.

I seen refurbished 27 IMacs quite often on the Apple Store (I basically check it each day or so lol) but never seen the Core I5 or Core I7 variant.
