Hello,
A couple years ago I bought a refurbished Apple Watch in the woot! site. It worked great, paired ok, and not one issue. But..... This week gave it to my son and he decided to reset to factory default... and surprise...
It was locked to an Apple id that wasn't mine. Contacted apple support and send the woot order detail and they didn't accept it:
"Hola, Angela:
Necesitamos el recibo de compra original como prueba de compra de su producto. La documentación que nos envió no coincide con nuestros registros de ventas originales.
Necesitamos documentación que demuestre la compra del dispositivo por parte del distribuidor. Si no tiene esta información, comuníquese con el distribuidor y pídale que se la proporcione a Apple. Si el distribuidor le proporciona esta documentación, puede enviárnosla.
Cuando tenga todo listo para enviar esta información, comuníquese con nosotros por teléfono. Para encontrar el número de teléfono correcto, consulte este artículo:

Request you to understand that this is the only invoice that you'll be able to have for the order.

I’m afraid that have a problem with apple. They say I’m not the owner of the watch and won’t unlock it. They ask for proof of purchase form you or my I watch remains a very expensive brick. I’ve already sent your order detail , the email of order confirmation and the PayPal receipt. Theirs records shows another owner for the I watch and they are assuming is a n irregular transaction

So.... I never think that could have this kind of problem with a refurbished item.
This post is just to ask if there is some way to unlock the Apple watch.

I would keep calling Apple, and even asking for supervisor after supervisor, until you find someone who will look at your documentation and do something about it. It sucks that you're having this issue. The only way it is going to get fixed, though, is if Apple decides to help you out. You have everything you should have; it's just persistence until you find the right help from Apple.

Unfortunately not, Apple are the only people able to unlock it, but they'll make you jump through hoops to get it done.
 
Just realize that ..... and apple support is making me jump through hoops... only won't give up and keep talking to them.:)
 
Resolved! Have the Apple Watch back! After calling apple support again, asked for a supervisor. After checking all the info I sent them, he told me that the date of the iCloud lock was after I purchased it. I gave anybody in my home the third degree and found that my teenage daughter had used the watch one week and paired it with a friend's iPhone. The watch was in her account. So everything is ok.... and my daughter is grounded and her friend too (her mother is a very close friend)..... Thanks a lot for your advice, and to apple support for all the help!
