Of course, the new iMacs come out one week to the day after I ordered my refurb quad-core 27" i5. It was a risk I was willing to take; but still, now that reality has set in, I am a little disappointed. Although my self-installed RAM upgrade to 12GB makes things a bit better ;)

Anyway, not that I am going to do this, but I am just curious ... do refurbished models quality for the same "14-day, no questions asked" return policy?

What I am really more interested in, though, is will the refurb prices for what is now the older models come down soon? Does that usually happen? For example, I paid $1699 for my refurb. Should that price come down in the next week or so AND does Apple price match if within a certain window? So, if it came down to $1599 or $1499, would Apple refund me $100 or $200. Probably not, but just wondering.

Yes, refurbs have the same return policy.

Apple won't refund you anything but the prices will likely go down a little in the refurb store

I tried to find the Apple Refurbished Return Policy at the Apple site, but couldn't for some reason.

So,

1. Can you return it to the local Apple Store? Or do you have to ship it?
2. If you return it within 14 days, are you charged a restocking fee?
3. Can you transfer AppleCare from the one you returned to the new one?
