I'm thinking of getting a refurb imac from the apple store, more specifically the 27". I'm wondering for those who have bought refurb imacs, either the 21" or 27", if these have arrived with some of the screen issues that are plaguing new units (yellow screens, horizontal lines, humming hard drives)?

Refurbs supposedly go through a "stringent refurbishment process"...

Judging from the current posts in this forum, I'd hold off a while yet. Since folks are still reporting new and "replaced panel" models still having issues, the refurbs won't be any better.

Well the refurbs (of the current models) have only lasted a few hours when they have been available. So people purchase them quickly.

However, I don't believe they've had an i5/i7 27 inch refurb available yet. They just had the 21.5 inch and the 27 inch base core2 duo available for purchased as refurb.

They come with same 1 year warranty so people will still buy them even with possiblity of yellow screen.
