Can anyone tell me their experiences buying refurbished items from the apple store?

I'm thinking of either buying a macbook or MBP --> I've already ordered a Mac Pro, and am looking for a laptop as well --

MBP

Thanks fellas!

The bleeding edge pays the most and suffers the most.

2 weeks ago I bought a MBP 15 2.1 for $1600 from Apple's refurb page.
A. As a late 2006 model the bugs were fixed and tested.
B. 10.4.8 is stable; don't upgrade unless you need the fix is the tried
and true UNIX dogma.
C. Good price and 1 year warranty.
D. Yeah, I'll wait until 10.5.2
E. My MBP has worked perfectly, even the Linksys wireless !!

Buy , enjoy.

Not a bad idea...

What tends to be the quality of the refurbs from Apple?

Also, anyone know when the new LED Pros will be put on the refurb page?

I bought a refurbished iPod Mini. There was a blemish on the unit when I bought it.. can't beat the price though.

Please for the love of god. Do a search! Same thread in the same day?... :::bangs head on wall::: and the same thing about 5 other times in the last few weeks.

Long story short - YAY REFURBS> THEY ARE FINE> WOOOOO you just don't get a pretty new box.
