What the typical timeline for getting refurbished models in stock? I am looking for the M2 iPad Pro 11in 128gb.
Thanks!
Unless I've missed it before, Apple has finally started selling refurbished 11-inch 3rd generation iPad Pros (M1 versions) in the UK. These models were first released on the 21st of May 2021. That was over 20 months ago.
They start at £639 for the 128GB WiFi model. That compares to £669 for a new 5th generation Air with 64GB of storage and £899 for the equivalent M2 Pro.
No sign of the 12.9-inch versions yet, but I would imagine they will appear soon.
Damn, they appeared in the German refurbished store as well, and now I bought oneUnless I've missed it before, Apple has finally started selling refurbished 11-inch 3rd generation iPad Pros (M1 versions) in the UK. Still no M1 iPP refurbs on the US refurb store although the images for the the 2018 iPad Pros (A12X, no LiDAR) have been swapped with the 2021 iPad Pros (M1)—likely a bug.
They must be imminent for the US, and I don't think we will have long to wait for the 12.9-inch version.Damn, they appeared in the German refurbished store as well, and now I bought one
Was thinking about updating my air 3 for ages, wanted the air 5, then prices went up, considered air4 refurbed, but wanted the new camera and ideally the M1…so that’s my birthday present to myself sorted ;-)
Refurb from apple come with a new battery and easy/full 1 year warranty. Refurbs from other sellers could have a few to a ton of cycles on the battery. If warranty is provided by the seller, you can bet it will suck. it's a YMMV/lotteryIf I were you I would get a refurb from another seller, not directly from Apple. Try Best Buy, they have good prices on the M1 pros, if they are still in stock. I would personally buy an M1 over a m2 because of the price difference, but if you have your heart set on an M2, you will likely have to wait a little while
The 11-inch 3rd generation iPad Pros (M1) are in the US refurbished store now starting at $639. As Whyy says below, the 12.9-inch versions are also available starting at $889, but they're yet to make an appearance in the UK store.Still no M1 iPP refurbs on the US refurb store although the images for the the 2018 iPad Pros (A12X, no LiDAR) have been swapped with the 2021 iPad Pros (M1)—likely a bug.
I am waiting for the 12.9 version too, let’s hope it appears on the UK refurbished store. Yes, I know what you mean about doubting you will ever buy a new iPad again. I picked up a three-month-old 256GB 11-inch M1 Pro for less than the cost of a base model 10th-generation iPad, and under half the price of the equivalent M2 version.12.9 M1 models have hit the Apple UK refurb store. Just got a 256GB wifi one for 929, which is not bad considering that it is very close to the current M2 model and that costs over 1300 new! Doubt I will be ever able to afford a brand new iPad again.
