Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone no whether or not the Apple Retail Stores carry Refurbished products. I would much rather pick one up in person than wait for it.

Refurb, I don't think so. I was once asked if I wanted to buy a display model for a nice discount though. No harm in asking.

Apple stores do sell ReFreshed products. These can be Store Demo's or customer returns. They are inspected wiped clean digitally and physically. ReFresh is a great way to save lots of money. I bought my powerbook battery refreshed for 79.99 because someone bought it for the wrong notebook.

They usually have a table of refreshed products available in the store on (IIRC) the last Saturday of the month. This is a great time to pick up some accessories like cables, speakers etc... as the discounts can be substantial..

My MBP and ibook are both refreshed and I haven't had a problem with them yet. I got them at very good discount price. What I did was call all the stores in my area with in reasonable driving distance and would ask if they have an open box item in what I am looking for. I called 6 different stores at least and 1 of them only said they do open box items and the end of the month while the rest have them in the back somewhere.

Discount?

Just curious, But aproximately how much of a discount are we talking here?

I saw a last rev 14" iBook G4 on the table a few months back (pre MacBook) for ~$950, which seemed like a good price. Many of the accessories were close to 50% off, like a miniDVI to VGA adapter for $7.95 instead of $14.95.

I was going to mention this too. You can call your local (Closest) store and ask when they will have one. I've never done that, but some folks say that you can find out that way.
