They stopped using serial numbers to designate refurbs awhile ago, AFAIK. .
that means we cant tell an iphone 4 is a refurb or not from its serial number?
okAre you my front man?
You can't tell.
ok
ps:"front man"? dont know what that means although I guess it shouldnt mean sth good![]()
Bring into the apple store when you first get it, it will still have the original buyers name attached to it. I have boughten and sold about 10 refurbs over the last 2yrs, they always ask me if I am so and so and I say no...
The other way is to just put your serial number into the the warranty checker, if you just bought the phone and it only has 8 months or so left on warranty then its a refurb.
well i am sorry you cant accept facts from another person that has done it multiple timesNo, they give it a new serial number, so you wont get one that only has 6 months. Sorry.
Ive never heard of a returb having the original buyers name attached to it. Ive received two and saw nothing like that.
Referring to the poster above about the 5K serial number, all I know is that Apple did away with the designation of 5K as a refurb. At least thats what was reported on here over a year ago.
