I have owned an Apple for a couple years now, shunning the Windows Mobile phones for quite some time, not even bothering to look at them because obviously they are inferior right?

Well, my roomate has the HTC touch pro 2, and the things he was doing on that phone were remarkable...

Not only was the phone faster, it loaded applications so fast, the dialing pad was so much better, the call clarity was amazing. I mean, it basically was a handheld windows XP with phone capabilities...

Why is it that Apple can't even touch the WM phones out there :(

It saddens me that I have been blind to this.

Please, someone tell me, what does Apple have that a Windows Mobile phone does not have? I have worked for Qualcom for coming on 7 years, they manufacture chips for most phones in the WORLD, international and native, and I am considering leaving my wonderfull Iphone for a WM capable phone, someone talk me out of it!

Don't feed the troll.... (look at the OP's posts to date -- every single one of them has been picking a fight about the superiority of a Windows-based product to an Apple product.)

Canalys: iPhone outsold all Windows Mobile phones in Q2 2009

http://www.roughlydrafted.com/ is a known flame site to anything Windows. I mean, look at the webpage link you sent me and navigate through the pictures, the pics alone are incredibly biased. More propaganda feeding to the ignorant Apple users.

And yes, "in 2009" iphone outsold windows mobile phones, hey, did you realize that post came out August 21st, 2009? its only Q2, howabout we go back a year, when WM6 was dominating apple by a lot more then the 4% margin in this year. ( http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/4536/windows-mobile-outsells-iphone-in-q3-of-2008.html )

With that being said, Windows has been around longer, so why should I continue this charade of pretending to like Apple just because I got suckered in by a clever marketing scheme because I''m an idiot?

You worked for them for 7 years and you can't even correctly spell their name?

So I didnt type an extra m, is that your only argument?

Typical Iphone ignoramus with nothing to say, has to bring up grammatical structure. Sad.

"Trolling". Do not post in order to anger other members or intentionally cause negative reactions. For a given post, this can be a subjective call, but a pattern of such posting or an especially egregious case will get you banned. Basically, don't try to pick fights. Knowingly posting false information is also prohibited.

This is a good example of how people draw conclusions based on faulty data.

You saw a single example of a device, that for the most part, subjectively decided it out-performed the iPhone. Maybe it did in some areas.

But then to lump it all together, that Apple can't touch the WM phones - that's just a huge stretch, and you got nothing else back that up.

I'm sorry that you're sad, maybe double up on the meds for a couple days, you'll be ok.

I would like to hear some of the "remarkable" things it can do. My 3gs loads most thing within a second, and I never use the "dialing pad" but it serves it's purpose.

Don't get me wrong I have no problems with windows or MS besides the fact that I have to call them now every time I change hardware (I use to change things up all the time). I have ran this system for 7 years without firewalls or anti-virus. No defragminting or DLL problems. Is it as fast as a fresh install? No but it's not that mush slower either. I've never had a problem, but let my mother in-law/ brother in-law use it for a week and it would be unbearable. They like to blame it on the computer too, but any problems they have are problems they create themselves. They would do it no matter what flavor of box you sit them in front of.

I know I shouldn't, but this is fun, so here we go:

As if Microsoft doesn't do the same thing. If you argue its some reviewing party, well guess what. Everyone is biased in a sense. Just check Engadget, more than half of their users are Windows users so the blog appeals to them.

We are talking about the present and future, not the past. Keep living in the past and you may end up being stuck there. Oh and by the way, Windows Mobile might outsell the iPhone based on the fact that the iPhone OS runs on 1 handset, where as Windows Mobile runs on different handsets from different makers. Hence, more likely to do so. Doesn't mean its a good OS now does it?

With that being said, Windows has been around longer, so why should I continue this charade of pretending to like Apple just because I got suckered in by a clever marketing scheme because I''m an idiot?

So you think anyone who buys something that does things different is a sucker? How clever and intelligent of you to bash those people you expect to answer nicely at you. We didn't get suckered into anything. We got something that we liked. If you don't like it, your problem. Also, just because an OS has been around longer doesn't make it better. I can come up with so many examples of this.

[/Tallest Skil like analysis.]

So we all got suckered in by cleaver marketing that DVD is better the VHS? VHS had been around longer. WM is a capable OS as is the iphones OS, they both have their plus and minuses.

OP, I guess in the 7 years that you have been working for Qualcom, the company has neglected on sending you to a grammar or spelling course.
