Okay, I am NOT a programmer, developer or anything of the sort. I just made these mockups in MS paint out of sheer boredom to see how the regular iPod interface would look on iPhone/iPod Touch. What do you think (not on quality, just the concept.)? Do you think anybody would use it if Apple created this option?

Concepts before the iPhone announcements were similar to this, they look nowhere near as good as the real UI. Apparently Apple tried a virtual click-wheel during development.

As someone who still owns one of those 5G iPods, NOOOOO!!! After testing out just the flicking down a list of all the songs on the iPhone, I can't imagine wanting that interface option. I equate it to the evils of the Classic environment I have to put up with at work because we're too cheap to upgrade a couple of apps to OS X. Remember the days before scroll wheels?

I'd TOTALLY use the a virtual clickwheel. Sometimes the touch interface just seems cumbersome and bulky.
