Hi,

I have the weirdest problem with my 4s. Someone sends me a text message (normal SMS, not an iMsg), and it never arrives at my phone. Simultaneously when the phone rings, like in the exact moment as it starts to ring, the message arrives.

The timestamp of the message is the original time from when the msg was sent, not from when it arrives.

It's working as if the incoming call triggers the message arrival.

I've received huge amounts of texts from this person. Could the internal memory or some msg-related "thing" be involved in this, and somehow the text message never arrives until when the phone starts ringing.

IOS9 in use and 4s with 16 gb.

Just 9? Not 9.2? And what have you done already? Restart, etc.? It's just the one contact? What kind of phone does that person have?

I await your context. :)

Hi,

It's IOS 9.1 (13B143).

I haven't restarted specifically but the phone has ran out of battery a few times in between these events.

The other person has iPhone 5s. This has happened so far only with this one person.

I would start by backing up phone and doing update, then testing. Or perhaps doing a force restart (both buttons 'til you see  logo). After that, reset all settings and test it out.

Of course, this is all discounting that the problem could very well be with your friend's phone and not yours. Have they reported any similar difficulties with their other contacts? I would ask more about this before doing that first paragraph.
