Reinstalled recently, but I'm seeing two concerns:

1. All contacts are in iCloud but they did not download to the Mac. (They are on my phone though.) Restoring from icloud.com hasn't worked thus far, I only see my own contact card and placeholders for the rest. This might explain why sharing options on phones / Mac aren't working from social media sites, and why contextual menus for messages don't work.

2. All music is on the Mac but did not sync to the phone; parts of albums are missing and not all artwork is propogated.

What should I try?

How long have you given it to sync, and are you leaving those apps open while syncing? Are you syncing via wi-fi or have you connected your phone to the Mac and syncing via the Finder?

It has been more than a week, and I’ve also tried connecting the phone to the Mac and synchronizing via the finder. Neither have worked.

Well, that's pretty odd. And it's definitely the same Apple ID used for iCloud and your Mac, yes?
