After reinstalling Mac OS monterey, a disk with an arrow always appears at startup where you have to select a disk. But I only have one disk on the computer. Never got that disk icon after a reinstall mac os before. Can it be removed somehow??

Just some thoughts...

Could you go to system preferences
Select startup disk
Click the lock and enter your password
Click on the "macintosh HD" icon to select it, then close system prefs
Then, restart.

Does this change anything?

Other thought:
Could the "option" key be stuck on your keyboard?
