Hi All,

I've bought an iMac that didn't come with mouse/keyboard.
I've got a generic Tecknet X600 keyboard (USB) keyboard. The instructions say to press Option-Command-R to reinstall MacOS - however, I don't have those keyboars, just Fn, Win, Alt and Ctrl!

Can anyone help provide another way to reinstall the OS as it is currently unusable.

Cheers!

On your windows keyboard, the equivalent for Option-Command-R will be Alt-Windows-R

When you get macOS reinstalled, you can change the Keyboard settings so that the windows keyboard are configured so they work with a bit less confusion (System Preferences/Keyboard pane, then Modifier Keys.) Set those for your preference. Reversing Command and Alt/Option is usually a good choice.
