Reinstall OSX with a different computers disk?

I have an old iMac, PowerPC running Tiger. I also have a MBP running tiger. I cant seem to find the discs for the iMac but i desperately need to reinstall the OS because its running like total garbage.

I was wondering if i could use the restore discs from my MBP (Core 2 Duo) on that iMac?

If not, where can i get discs to do a restore? or can i do it on the computer without a disc at all? I just need to start fresh.

No, you cannot.

Just call Apple, and order a new set of install disks. They cost $10. In my case, they sent them to me for free (I was lucky, the guy that helped me was in a good mood that day).

Most discs shipped with your Mac will only work on said Mac or similar model, you may "Will" have to call Apple and ask them if they can send you a new copy of the OS for your computer.

Edit: Strike that, back up, you "Will" need to call Apple for a copy

You can normally use Firewire Target Disk Mode to work around these issues - but the MBP is intel and the iMac is PPC. Tiger is unique for each processor type. (Leopard is universal, though partitioning schemes vary).

Call Apple for replacement disks or find a copy of the Retail Tiger installer. The replacement disks will be a lot cheaper.
